Visit the breathtaking Cuicocha Lake, a spectacular volcanic crater lake surrounded by the Andes Mountains. Admire its crystal-clear waters, scenic viewpoints, and the picturesque islands located at the center of the crater, creating one of Ecuador's most iconic landscapes.
Experience the beauty and spiritual significance of Peguche Waterfall, a sacred site for the local Indigenous communities. Walk through the lush protected forest surrounding the waterfall and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this natural sanctuary, renowned for its cultural importance and stunning scenery.
This journey combines authentic cultural encounters, traditional indigenous communities, spectacular Andean landscapes, and unique natural attractions, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of Ecuador.

Early Hotel pickup. We will head by private transportation to the north of Quito, Otavalo is located in the province of Imbabura and is a magical city surrounded by mountains, lakes, farmland, and indigenous communities. Crossing the Guayllabamba Valley we will reach the Quitsato Sundial, the place where the Equator Line passes. Then we will make a stop at the San Pablo Lake viewpoint and continue the trip to Otavalo. In the afternoon we will visit the famous Plaza de Ponchos, the largest indigenous market in South America, an ideal place for shopping. After that, we will go to a local historical hacienda where we spend the night. Overnight in Otavalo.

After breakfast we will head to the small community of Peguche, known for its weaving. We will go to the Peguche Waterfall, a beautiful and spiritual site where the inhabitants, on the eve of Inti Raymi, take a sacred bath under the waterfall. ​Afterwards we will visit Iluman, which is well known for the presence of the so-called yachac taitas (shamans) performing spiritual cleansings as a ceremony. Afterwards we return to our hotel.

Breakfast. The adventure continues towards the Cuicocha Lagoon in the Cotacachi – Cayapas Reserve. Cuicocha is a volcanic crater that has a diameter of 3 km. The islands in the center of Cuicocha has an endemic flora and fauna, we´ll have a boat ride around the lake and a hike to the lookout. Afterwards we´ll go to Cotacachi, famous for its leather articles. Time to the lunch and visit the shops. Return to Quito in the ​afternoon. END OF OUR SERVICES
